Google Penguin Update 1.1 – Is this Real Life?
Google just rolled out its latest butt-kicking, search engine crushing update, Google Penguin version 1.1. We’ve got a pretty clear answer now as to what their algorithm was penalizing websites for. Lets just say, gone are the days of Adster having an Edmonton based, Edmonton Web Design and Edmonton Online Advertising Agency. We’re sorry David couldn’t be in this video, but he’s in the process of ferociously changing the meta titles on all his affiliate sites so our resident stand in Andrew, ‘ol crooked nose’ Forster is taking his place. May God have mercy on our souls.

Hello there! My names Andrew Forster and I’m the CEO and co founder of Adster Creative. If you’ve been following our education videos thus far, you would’ve seen my business partner, David Forster, but he’s off busy playing golf – so I’m taking over for him today.
Today I’d like to talk you guys a little bit, we’ll just touch on it, about Google’s Penguin update. I had a Blog post about 3 weeks ago that talked more in depth about it, but Google just rolled out Google penguin update version 1.1 and this update has given us a much more definitive answer in terms of what Google has been penalizing websites for.
So, if you’ve been doing the SEO for your website yourself, or you’ve hired an SEO agency, the 3 areas that you really want to look at, is if you’ve been involved in low value back links, over optimization, keyword stuffing, or excessive use of anchor text. Google has always frowned on these ‘questionable’ methods of search engine optimization, but they’re really cracking down on it now.
If you’ve been engaged in any of these methods you may want to double check your strategy moving into the future. As always, if you have any questions about search engine optimization, either give us a phone call or send me an email ‘cuz I’m just busy playing Battlefield 3 anyway.
